About

Design Philosophy

I design using three principles: intention, clarity, and permanence. Every product begins with a question: what does this need to do, and how should it be made? Through prototypes and iterations, that intention becomes clarity, a balance of function and aesthetic. The result is permanence: goods designed to last a lifetime, improve with age, and become part of your daily story. Buy once, forever.

Craft & Materials

All products are handmade using traditional leather crafting techniques. Each piece is cut, saddle stitched, and burnished by hand. I work with full-grain leathers from leading tanneries including Italian vegetable tan leather, shell cordovan, and oak bark tanned English bridle leather from J&FJ Baker's centuries-old Devon tannery. The combination of premium materials and hand techniques results in pieces that feel distinct, age beautifully, and develop a patina unique to you.

The Maker

I learned leather craft through two lenses: gear built to survive hard use in the field, and fine work focused on refinement and technique. My approach to the craft has been shaped by English saddlery traditions, years spent guiding in remote corners of Mongolia, and artisan work influenced by French fine leather craft. Now based in Twisp, Washington, I make pieces that draw from all of this experience - designed with purpose, built to last, refined through traditional hand techniques. Every choice is deliberate.
