Trailsmith Belt

Made from 13-15oz oak bark tanned bridle leather from J&F Baker's centuries-old Devon tannery. Each hide undergoes fifteen months of traditional tanning and finishing, creating the finest belt leather in the world. It breaks-in beautifully and develops a patina that tells your story.

Saddle-stitched by hand with linen thread. The edges are sanded and burnished through three (or more) grits of sandpaper, then creased and waxed to seal and protect. The stitched-in keeper uses a traditional bridle-work technique. Paired with a solid brass West End buckle cast at an English foundry.

Made to your measurements:

To measure: take a belt you wear regularly, lay it flat, and measure from where the tine touches the buckle bar to the hole you currently use. Round to the nearest inch (or centimetre). That's the measurement I need (not your jeans waist size).

Five holes works for most people. Seven holes gives you room for layers or life's changes. Nine holes (or more) allows for wearing over jackets, or using as an emergency strap when you're out there.

Available in natural oak tan, oak stain, Australian nut, or conker. Brass or steel buckle tine. Choice of thread color.

A belt for everyday jeans and backcountry trails. Built to last.

Made to order. Lead time: 4-8 weeks.
